In my work, body and spirit are intertwined, and metaphysical realities are manifested in the physical world.  I channel this through my art practice which becomes a meditation on nature-abstraction, shamanism, spirituality, and metaphysics.

Essential to my work is creating art forms in an organic process, allowing the subject matter to be defined by shadow and light, time of day, chance, and overall mood at the moment of discovery. Through the lens of nature I focus on the beauty of imperfections, irregularities, layers, close-ups, textures, repetition, and the sublime.

Through my drawings, paintings, and photographs, I’m following my instincts and intuition in capturing nature and transforming everyday images of life and unintentionally disguising these observations into abstraction where one cannot distinguish the origin, time or place.  From this, mystical realms of imagery occur with a deep focus on the hypnotic beauty of shapes and surfaces.

In my Mandala series, these works become a form of therapy and spiritual practice. The paintings are a meditation on three cosmic zones. There is a core circle which is starting from the observational zone. It symbolizes looking within, reflection and inside the Earth. The second circle is the connection between myself, earth and nature. The outer circle represents enlightenment and transformation. All these molecules are forming into a whole, searching for completeness.  This vision of the Mandala is rooted in Shamanism, The Occult, and Buddhism, yet has been transformed through my individual process into something more unique and personal.
